METHOD SENSER was unable to identify a relationship between T0093
METHOD and a sequence with a known
METHOD structure. Secondary structure prediction using Jpred2
METHOD strongly indicated a
METHOD Rossmann fold. Hydrophobicity patterns predict strands
METHOD 3 and 6 as outer strands.
METHOD The canonical Rossmann fold (dinucleotide binding) has
METHOD a strand order of 321456.
METHOD We also considered the possibility of a circularly permuted
METHOD form with a strand order of 654123, but
METHOD discarded it based on the location of putative active site residues.
METHOD Looking at the various structures within this
METHOD fold, we decided that the quinone oxidoreductase (1qor)
METHOD structure best fit the secondary
METHOD structure prediction of our target. We aligned our
METHOD target to 1qor using secondary
METHOD structure elements and conserved hydrophobicity
METHOD patterns found in the target family.
