METHOD  An initial search of the Brookhaven Protein Data Bank for sequences 
METHOD  homologous to the target was performed using the BLAST algorithm 
METHOD  (Altschul et al J. Mol. Biol. 215 403-410). 
METHOD  Threading of target sequence onto the homologous sequence with highest 
METHOD  sequence identity (1dch) was achieved using the 
METHOD  method of Koretke, Luthey-Schulten and Wolynes (Protein Science 
METHOD  (1996) 5:1043-1059). This statistical mechanical method uses a  
METHOD  quantitative form of the principle of minimal frustration to obtain an 
METHOD  optimized energy function for threading. The energy function includes 
METHOD  an optimal treatment of gap penalties, and partially 
METHOD  accounts for correlations in the energy landscape. The submitted structure 
METHOD  was generated from the resultant alignment using the Modeller program 
METHOD (Sali and Blundell J. Mol. Biol. 234, 779-815,1993) with default settings.
