METHOD The target sequence and its apparent homologs as well as their  
METHOD multiple sequence alignment, were threaded through the structures in  
METHOD a library constructed from PDB rel.83.  
METHOD We examined the target with various threading methodologies that   
METHOD we have developed.   
METHOD The structure of fructose permease always ranked at relatively   
METHOD high positions. Its fold is a doubly wounded a/b type structure   
METHOD with a parallel beta-sheet, but topologicaly different from cutinase.   
METHOD E.C. No. of T0043 is more similar to that of fructose permease than   
METHOD cutinase, suggesting their possible similarity of functions.
